Celebrating 20 Years

Every community has a special restaurant where you celebrate anniversaries and birthdays, you gather for business meetings or just meet up with friends for drinks after work. As a resident of Bryan-College Station for the past 19 years, I feel like I’ve grown up celebrating my special occasions at Christopher’s World Grille. From Mother’s Day to my 30th Birthday, I’ve celebrated many happy occasions at one of Bryan-College Station’s finest restaurants. So you can imagine what an honor it was to join Chef Christopher Lampo and his dedicated staff in a culinary trip around the world, as we celebrated 20 years of serving the Brazos Valley community.

The 20-year celebration began as guests arrived and were greeted with a drink from Tonga with a hint of kava. Polynesian sounds in the background and drinks in our hands – a buzz of celebration filled the air as we joined other guests dining family-style. The community-style seating provided an opportunity for guests to make new friends and share stories about how they know Chef Christopher Lampo and his impact on their lives over the last 20 years.

After settling in and making new friends at our table, Chef Christopher Lampo welcomed the entire room with gusto, sharing his most memorable trips around the world. His travels and culinary experiences on private yachts in Europe, North America, and the South Pacific were transported into the room and shared with his guests through a five-course meal.

Before the meal began, Chef walked the guests through the five-course menu and told a story about each dish and why it was selected for the menu. The menu preview was also paired with a fun slide show of pictures of Chef from around the world and brought the menu to life. With a culinary passport in our hands, we started the evening in France and traveled to Italy, Canada, England, and Australia, just to name a few stops. Each dish had its own unique flavors that stood alone, which made it difficult for Mike and I to choose our favorite.

With our stomachs full, new friends at our side and a room full of laughter and smiles – Mike and I were overwhelmed with that sense of community that comes with twenty years of celebrating everyone’s happy occasions in the Brazos Valley. The evening was perfect and celebrating a local business who has had such a great impact on our community was an honor.

Cheers to the next 20 years!

If you would like to celebrate your next special occasion at Christopher’s World Grille I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time and sharing with the staff your specific needs and the happy occasion you are celebrating.
