Retro Valentine’s Day Tablescape Idea with Fiestaware

The inspiration for my retro Valentine’s Day tablescape came from my collection of vintage Valentine’s Day cards that I absolutely love showing off during this festive season of love. Each paper valentine is detailed with clever puns, popups, and a few cards have handwritten notes inside them!

This year, for Valentine’s Day, I decided to create an entire tablescape design around one of my favorite retro Valentine’s Day cards. From the inspiration Valentine, I selected linens with similar colors starting with a light pink, accordion crushed taffeta tablecloth. Next, I layered a brightly colored Spring striped table runner that perfectly matched the colors of the balloons in the Valentine.

The table setting is layered with a rattan charger, Fiestaware dinner plates in the color Scarlet and salad pate in Mulberry. The heart shaped candy dish in a rose pink make the perfect accessory to hold the hand lettered place card by Olive Cedar Designs, off-white linen napkins folded into a beautiful rose, and finished with the inspirational valentine and freshly cut flowers.
